Our Story
When I arrived, I was disheartened to see how undervalued locally made products were within Ghana. Despite the incredible craftsmanship and artistry of our artisans, there was a widespread preference for imported goods. At Weave & Sew Crafts, we really hope to change that narrative by celebrating and elevating the beauty of Ghanaian craftsmanship, not just for international audiences but also here at home.
Another realization came when searching for books and toys that reflected my children’s identity. I expected to find no shortage of African dolls and characters, yet they were rare, even in Ghana. No child should ever feel unseen, so I started making dolls for my daughters—beautiful, handcrafted keepsakes that celebrate diversity and representation. What began as a personal project quickly became a mission to fill a gap in the market, ensuring that all children can see themselves reflected in the toys they cherish.
At Weave & Sew Crafts, we blend tradition with creativity, honoring the skills of Ghanaian artisans while crafting timeless pieces that bring joy, culture, and meaning into homes. Whether through our handwoven baskets, heirloom dolls, or ethically made decor, we are proud to showcase the extraordinary quality of locally made products—both in Ghana and around the world.
